UPDATE MAY 2018

Great minds still think this is the way forward to meet our housing targets rather than little cul de sacs of executive homes tacked onto every little village. These  incursions are not sustainable and therefore do not properly met the NPPF but our councillors are afraid of developers and their teams of lawyers. HCS has some sympathy with their dilemas. 

 

SUMMER 2015

This was a bold plan intended to stretch the imagination of how Herefordshire could be inspired by Prof. Alan Wilson.  A small team from HCS considered the County holistically and came up with the idea of greatly expanding Ewyas Harold into a full market town serving its hinterland.  This was not popular with locals but the need for a more adventurous Local Plan to deal with transport issues, in particular, should not be ignored.
